

Our story began one late summer evening in 2024 on the pier in Old Orchard Beach—just two people meeting and talking about dreams and goals, a few bold ideas, and the salty breeze of possibility. The original plan? Canned cocktails—fun, fast, and flavorful. But as the conversation deepened, so did the ambition. They realized the brand needed a spirit with soul. Nicole and Al had a vision: before the cans, there had to be a spirit worth building around. Something unapologetically bold, elegant, and unforgettable.
Al took Nicole’s vision—her dream—and ran with it, crafting the business backbone and finding the right partners in Three of Strong that together would create Diablo Habanero Blanco Tequila. Not just a base spirit, but a brand-defining force. From that detour came a destination: Turning Tides Spirits and Brewing. A company built on collaboration, creativity, and a refusal to follow the expected path.
What started as a casual brainstorm between two people that one day became a full-bodied brand with seasonal cocktail programs, upscale venue activations, and a tequila that speaks for itself—fiery, refined, and ready to turn tides.
It also became a lasting friendship, a partnership rooted in trust, creativity, and shared vision. Nicole and Al’s chance meeting, conversation, and mindsets set them on the path to both love and business.

Ingredients:
2 oz Diablo Habanero Blanco Tequila
0.75 oz sweet vermouth
0.25 oz allspice dram or cinnamon liqueur
Dash of Angostura bitters
Garnish: brandied cherry
Instructions:
Stir all ingredients over ice. Strain into coupe or rocks glass. Garnish.
